Prepares students to effectively manage conflict and promote positive interactions in educational and youth-centered settings. Through coursework in human development, peace education, restorative justice, and cultural dynamics, students develop practical skills to support constructive dialogue and problem-solving. Whether pursuing careers in non-profits, teaching, juvenile justice, counseling, or community programs, graduates will be equipped to create supportive learning environments and apply practices that strengthen relationships and improve outcomes for young people.
At least eight credits of the minor courses must be unique to the Conflict Resolution Education minor and not applied toward any other major, minor, certificate, or concentration. Students must achieve a minimum GPA of 2.00 in the coursework applied to the minor. For policies governing all minors, see AP.5.3.4 Minors.
