Whether you're pursuing a teacher license or advancing your expertise, George Mason's Special Education department prepares future and current professionals to make a lasting difference in the lives of learners with disabilities. The programs provide flexible modes of course delivery and hands-on, real-world preparation. Additionally, the department provides opportunities for collaboration with Mason LIFE, a four-year program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities who want to go to college and earn a certificate of completion (non-degree).
