The Recreation Management minor empowers students from various fields to obtain essential competencies for the management of recreation, particularly in the public sector. It offers a fundamental structure encompassing skills and knowledge vital for understanding experiences and delivering recreation services. Core components include the design of recreation programs and developing assessment strategies to meet programmatic needs.
Admissions
This minor is available to all Mason undergraduate students, with the exception of those enrolled in the Recreation Management, BS with a concentration in Parks and Outdoor Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation or the Individualized Concentration.
Policies
Eight credits of coursework must be unique to the minor and students must complete all coursework with a minimum GPA of 2.00. For policies governing all minors, see AP.5.3.4 Minors.
