The Healthcare Quality Graduate Certificate provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate healthcare quality and measure the effectiveness of outcomes. Students in the program will learn the methods by which healthcare organizations analyze quality by applying quantitative methods (such as statistical process control, histograms, and Pareto charts) and qualitative methods (such as root cause analysis, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats [SWOT] analysis , affinity diagrams, and flow charts), to ensure the quality and value of care. Graduates will be able to help healthcare organizations manage healthcare quality and act to improve the quality of health care.
Admissions
The Healthcare Quality Certificate is open to students with a bachelor’s degree. All applicants are required to have a 3.0 GPA.
