The Master of Science in Information Security Management prepares students to manage the security of data and information such as financial information, intellectual property, personally identifiable information, and information entrusted by third parties. The program focuses on building competencies in information security management through an appropriate blend of deep business and requisite technical knowledge through topics such as security analytics, governance, auditing, risk management, economics of information security, and managing vendors and partners. It provides students with the knowledge and skills to be able to prioritize security deficits and the solutions to address these deficits from a business perspective.

Admissions

All students registering for School of Business graduate courses must have graduate standing.  Non-degree student status is not available.

Policies

Students are responsible for familiarization and compliance with the university's Graduate Policies.

It is recommended that students have a C or better in MIS 310 and MIS 320 (or equivalent courses) before taking the core courses. Students without these recommended prerequisite courses will work with an academic advisor in the ISOM department/School of Business on avenues to remedy the lack of these competencies prior to taking the core courses.
