BFA/BA Admissions Requirements

The School of Dance offers a BFA and a BA. Entrance to either program is by audition. Information about the audition process, including dates and audition application, can be found on the School of Dance website. Admission to the university is determined by the Admissions Office.

Master of Fine Arts, Visual and Performing Arts, Concentration in Dance

A Visual and Performing Arts, Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in Dance is offered by the College of Visual and Performing Arts. For specific information, please refer to the Visual and Performing Arts, MFA.

Writing-Intensive Requirement

The university requires all students to complete at least one course designated “writing intensive” in their major at the 300-level or above. Students in the Dance, BFA and BA fulfill this requirement by successfully completing DANC 390 Dance History I (Mason Core)or DANC 391 Dance History II (Mason Core).
