Uses seminar/discussion approach and practicum experience to analyze the role and functions of the nurse educator in the academic classroom. Emphasis is on the application of teaching/learning strategies, legal and ethical issues in nursing education, and role development as a nurse educator. Prerequisites Admission to graduate nursing program or post-master’s status; NURS 726 and 727; NURS 556 or EDRS 531. Hours of Lecture or Seminar per week 1 Hours of Lab or Studio per week 6 |
